The Fredericton Red Wings have announced that forward Patrick Brown has committed to the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks for the 2021-2022 season.
The 21-year-old from Orillia, Ontario was acquired in November from the OJHL’s Collingwood Colts, was tied for third in team scoring with eight goals and nine assists in fifteen games. He had three goals and three assists in six games during the Canadian Tire Cup Playoff Round Robin, and added one goal and one assist in the two games of the Eastlink South Final which was won by Fredericton.
“Patrick raised the standard and expectations of our team, and he was such a key player to our success,” says Red Wings Head Coach Brian Casey. “He is the ultimate teammate and his leadership qualities both on and off the ice is outstanding. Our organization couldn’t be prouder for Patrick as he enters the next phase in his career in becoming a student athlete at a respectful institution and hockey program at Wilfred Laurier”.
Brown will be joined by his teammate Evan Benwell at Wilfred Laurier.
