The Royal Military College of Canada Paladins have announced that Pictou County Weeks Crushers’ forward Alex Christmas will join their program next season.
The 21-year-old from Membertou, N.S. was drafted in the 2nd Round, 13th overall, in the 2021 MHL Entry Draft by the Campbellton Tigers. He was traded to the South Shore Lumberjacks ahead of the 2022-23 season, where he tallied three goals and five assists in eighteen games. He was named to the Eastlink South Team of the Week once during the season.
The team moved to Bouctouche, N.B. the following season, where Christmas had one goal and seven assists in fourteen games before being traded to Amherst in November. He finished the season with the Ramblers by posting nine goals and fifteen assists in 36 games. In the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs, Christmas had two goals and two assists in twelve games.
Christmas started the 2024-25 season in Amherst with one goal and two assists in fourteen. He was traded to Pictou County in November 2024. With the Crushers, Christmas had fourteen goals and 23 assists in 31 games. He was named to the Eastlink South Team of the Week on one occasion. In the playoffs, he had two goals and two assists in eleven games.
In 2025-26, Christmas had sixteen goals and 22 assists in 38 games for the Crushers, finishing fifth in team scoring. He added one assist in five playoff games.
Paladins head coach Richard Lim says, “Alex is the type of player that immediately raises the standard of a program. He brings leadership qualities, a tremendous work ethic, and a maturity level beyond his years.”
