Doull steps down as Crushers Head Coach

New Glasgow – After careful consideration and reflecting with his family, Doug Doull has announced his resignation as head coach of the Pictou County Weeks Crushers.  Doull spent 4 seasons behind the Crushers bench and led the franchise to its only MHL Championship in 2015/16.

“Imperative for me as a coach is the development of our athletes into good human beings first and foremost. Moving many on to higher levels is something I’m proud of as well. Additionally, when I joined The Crushers four years ago we had another goal in mind, and that was to bring a championship to Pictou County.  We accomplished that goal.”

“When you coach Jr A it is crucial to surround yourself with great people. I had that in spades with Wade, Chad, Willy and James, not to mention the devoted billet-families and Wellness Centre staff. The program is in good hands and I wish them the best of luck.”

The Crushers, along with the entire Weeks Hockey Organization would like to thank Doug for everything he has done for our players, our program and for the community.

The Crushers hope to have a decision on a new coach in the coming weeks.
