St. Francis Xavier University men’s hockey head coach Brad Peddle is pleased to announce the commitment of Pictou County Weeks Crushers forward Dallas Farrell to the 2020-21 X-Men line-up.
The 20-year-old from Roseneath, P.E.I. led the Crushers in scoring in 2019-20 with 23 goals and 28 assists in 40 games, including eight game-winning goals. Farrell was one of two players acquired from the Nipawin Hawks of the SJHL on October 16th. He was originally drafted by the Miramichi Timberwolves in the 4th Round of the 2016 MHL Entry Draft.
Crushers General Manager Chad McDavid says, “After playing away from home since Bantam, Dallas really wanted an opportunity to stay close to home. He has worked extremely hard this season to put himself in this position. We are very happy for him and his family.”
Peddle says, “Dallas is a dynamic player with great offensive instincts who has consistently produced at the junior level. He will add skill and speed to our team and has outstanding potential. He is a great addition from a very familiar Pictou Crushers program.”
The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) congratulates Farrell on his Junior career and post-secondary commitment.
