Dalhousie University has announced that former Amherst Ramblers forward Matt Green has committed to the Tigers for the 2019-20 season.

The 21-year-old from Hammonds Plains was acquired by the Fred Page Cup hosts last September in a trade with the Miramichi Timberwolves, posting nine goals and nine assists in 16 games in Amherst. In a seven-game, first-round loss to South Shore, Green posted an incredible eight goals to go along with four assists. That was good enough for the fourth-most and fifth highest point total for the Canadian Tire Cup playoffs despite playing half as many games as the playoff point leaders. At the Fred Page Cup, Green scored once in two games.

Originally drafted by the Truro Bearcats in the 7th round, 77th overall, of the 2015 MHL Entry Draft, Green spent five seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Saint John Sea Dogs and was a member of the 2017 Presidents Cup winning team. In 168 regular season games, Green accumulated 14 goals and 22 assists, with an assist in 36 playoff games.
