The Amherst Ramblers have announced that forward Griffen Fox has committed to Lakehead University for the 2021-22 season.
The 21-year-old from Brantford, Ontario was acquired by the Ramblers in early January from the OJHL’s Trenton Golden Hawks. He wasted no time in making an impact for Amherst with ten points in his first four games. Fox finished the 2020-21 regular season with fourteen goals and 25 assists in just 22 games, placing him eighth in overall league scoring. His 1.77 points per game average was fourth-best in the MHL. Fox was selected as an All-Star for the Eastlink South Division and named an honourable mention for the Gongshow Top Forward Award in January/February.
