The Pro Design Cresting Rookie of the Month for January, 2018 is goaltender Joel Goguen of the Amherst Ramblers.
JOEL GOGUEN – AMHERST RAMBLERS
In eight appearances during the month, Goguen went 6-1-1 with a 3.09 GAA and a .919 save percentage. The 18 year old from Cocagne, New Brunswick reeled off four straight wins to start the new year, including a 29 save effort against the Western Capitals in Summerside on New Years Day and a 31 save victory against the Slammers in Woodstock on January 5th. Not to be outdone, Goguen produced a pair 34 save performances in back to back wins versus the Valley Wildcats and Yarmouth Mariners on January 20th and 21st. Goguen, an eighth round selection of the Ramblers in the 2016 MHL Draft, previously played for the Clement-Cormier Cavaliers in the New Brunswick high school ranks.
