The Campbellton Tigers would like to announce that forward Jared Janke has committed to the University of Lethbridge Proghorns men’s hockey team for the 2019-20 season.
The 21-year-old from Airdrie, Alberta was acquired by the Tigers on January 8th, 2018 from the English River Miners of the Superior International Junior Hockey League. Settling into his new home in the MHL, Janke scored three goals and added five assists in 18 games in the 2017-18 season. He would add an assist in five playoff games for the Tigers.
Ready to hit the ice for a full season in Campbellton, Janke played all 50 games and finished sixth in team scoring with ten goals and 15 assists. During the Tigers’ run to the Canadian Tire Cup Final, he scored five goals and had four assists in 15 playoffs games.
