The Valley Wildcats have announced that forward Cole Kirkup has committed to play the Northland College Lumberjacks, an NCAA Division III school in Ashland, Wisconsin, for the 2020-21 season.
The 20-year-old from Souris, Manitoba was acquired from the Humboldt Broncos of the SJHL on September 10th, 2019 just ahead of the start of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) regular season. Kirkup led the team with 33 points in 48 games and had a team-high 24 assists. He was also had the second-most penalty minutes in the league with 202.
