Lewis commits to Norwich University

The Miramichi Timberwolves have announced that forward Alex Lewis has committed to Norwich University, an NCAA Division III school, for the 2021-22 season.

The 21-year-old from Moncton, N.B. was drafted by Miramichi in the 3rd round, 36th overall, in the 2016 MHL Entry Draft. He played three games with the Timberwolves in the 2016-17 season, followed by five games in the 2017-18 season where he tallied one assist in five games. He spent the 2018-19 season with the CCHL’s Pembroke Lumber Kings, where he scored six goals to go with twelve assists in 60 games. Lewis was dealt to Smith Falls for the 2019-20 season, and he accumulated eight goals and 38 assists in 46 games.

Lewis was re-acquired by the Timberwolves in February 2021. In six regular season games with Miramichi, he had one goal and four assists in six games.
