The South Shore Lumberjacks are hosting a Pink in the Rink Night on Friday as the Pictou County Weeks Crushers roll in to the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre. The event is being co-hosted with the South Shore Relay For Life. Donations will be collected at the game, and information pamphlets will be handed out as well.
Last year’s relay for life team raised over $40,000 with a large portion of the proceeds staying locally to support Camp Good Time. The support this lodge provides to cancer patients during and after treatments is truly near and dear to all of our hearts. The Lumberjacks want to set the bar even higher this season. The South Shore Relay For Life team will also be selling raffle tickets for one of the team’s Pink in the Rink jerseys.
2020 ambassador Betty Jean Aucoin has been invited as a special guest to drop the ceremonial puck prior to Friday night’s game.
