The Yarmouth Mariners have announced that Brett Crossley has committed to Dalhousie University for 2019-20.

The 21-year-old from Cole Harbour was selected in the 7th Round, 81st overall, by Yarmouth in the 2015 MHL Entry Draft. After four seasons with the QMJHL’s Halifax Mooseheads, Crossley joined younger brother Brady in Yarmouth. His impact was immediate, with seven goals and seven assists in his first ten games for the eventual Canadian Tire Cup Playoff champions.

Crossley would play all 50 games for the Mariners in 2018-19, finishing second on team scoring with 24 goals and 38 assists. That assist total placed him in a tie for the sixth most in the MHL. Crossley also had the second-most points on the team in the playoffs, with four goals and 12 assists in 14 games.
