The Yarmouth Mariners have announced that Noah McMullin has committed to the Ontario Tech University for 2019-2020.
The 20-year-old from Dartmouth was drafted in the 1st Round, 9th overall, in the 2015 MHL Entry Draft and spent three full seasons with the Mariners. After a one-game call-up in 2015-16, McMullin played 42 games in 2016-17 in Yarmouth. He had four goals and 15 assists in 42 games that season, including just 14 penalty minutes, and added an assist in five playoffs games. McMullin was also named to the Rookie All-Star Team. He remained a steadying presence on the blueline the following season, helping Yarmouth reach the Maritime Hockey League Final. He posted three goals and 21 assists in 48 games in 2017-18, with just 23 penalty minutes. During the playoffs, McMullin had six goals in 18 games.
In 2018-19, McMullin scored five goals and added 24 assists during the regular season. His goal and twelve assists in the Canadian Tire Cup Playoffs helped the Mariners get back to the league final, where they captured the championship over Campbellton. Despite the Mariners being eliminated in the Fred Page Cup round robin, McMullin was voted to the tournament All-Star Team.
