The Yarmouth Mariners were sporting their custom pink jerseys during last weekend’s home games for the team’s annual Pink in the Rink fundraiser.
The event is in support of the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation on behalf of the Dr. Janke Cancer Centre.
Bidding on the jerseys is well underway, with all current player jerseys available as well as a few blank jerseys where the team will add your name to the back.
Bids can be sent in via text to 902-748-5691 or through a message to the “Mariners – Pink in the Rink” Facebook page until noon on Sunday, November 10th.
Please include your name, jersey number you’re bidding on, and your bid.
The Mariners state that bids must be a minimum of $10 more than the last posted bid, with the numbers being updated daily via Facebook.
Due to the number of home games in October, the team will continue wearing them for some early games in November.
This initiative raised $7,626 last year, with over $24,000 raised in the past three years.
