Truro, N.S. (March 30, 2022) – The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is pleased to announce that Brock Bartholomew of the Amherst Ramblers is the 2021-22 Defenseman of the Year.
The 21-year-old from St. Albert, Alberta doubled his career goal total in 2021-22 with nine to go along with twelve assists in playing all 37 games for the Ramblers. He finished fifth in team scoring and tenth among all defensemen. His goal total was just one off the league lead held by Campbellton’s Zac Arsenault.
Bartholomew led all blueliners with three game-winning goals; two of which were in the Ramblers’ first three games of the season.
He was named the Gongshow Top Defenseman in November and was a Player of the Week four times.

La LHM choisit Brock Bartholomew comme défenseur de l’année 2021-2022
Truro, N.-É. (30 mars 2022) – La Ligue de hockey junior des Maritimes (LHM) est heureuse d’annoncer que Brock Bartholomew des Ramblers d’Amherst est le défenseur de l’année 2021-2022.
Le joueur de 21 ans de St. Albert, en Alberta, a doublé son total de buts en carrière en 2021-2022 avec 9 buts et 12 passes en disputant les 37 matchs des Ramblers. Il a terminé cinquième chez les pointeurs de l’équipe et dixième parmi tous les défenseurs. Son total de buts n’était qu’à un du meneur de la ligue, Zac Arsenault, de Campbellton.
Bartholomew a mené tous les défenseurs avec trois buts gagnants dont deux lors des trois premiers matchs des Ramblers de la saison.
Il a été nommé meilleur défenseur Gongshow en novembre et a été nommé joueur de la semaine quatre fois.
