Paquette commits to Salve Regina University

The South Shore Lumberjacks have announced that forward Braden Paquette has committed to Salve Regina University, an NCAA Division III school.

The 20-year-old from Grande Prairie, Alberta was obtained from the Calgary Mustangs of the AJHL in October 2018 and spent three seasons in Bridgewater. Paquette had eleven goals and eleven assists in 41 games during the 2018-19 season for the Lumberjacks. He followed that up with seven goals and twelve assists in 49 games in 2019-20 for South Shore.

During the 2020-21 season, Paquette had seven goals and thirteen assists in 32 games, finishing in a tie for second in team scoring. He had one goal and one assist in six games during the Canadian Tire Cup Playoff Round Robin. Paquette was named a Player of the Week twice during the season.
