With only five points separating 1st place from 4th, the Eastlink North is still mostly wide open entering the final week of the 2025-26 regular season on the road to the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs. Every team has two games remaining, and some critical head-to-head matchups could serve as playoff previews: Edmundston at Chaleur on Friday and Grand Falls at West Kent on Sunday. The only thing we can say for certain is that Chaleur cannot finish in 1st place because of the Rapids-Steamers game. Miramichi and Campbellton could also yet play spoiler in how the standings look when the dust settles.

In the Eastlink South, it’s a little easier to figure out. Truro and Summerside are battling for 1st place and have secured home ice advantage at least in the first round of the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs. Pictou County has the upper hand over Amherst to finish 3rd. Like the North, we could be seeing playoff previews as on Saturday we’ll see Truro at Amherst and Pictou County at Summerside.
