Ramblers Pay Tribute to Becca Schofield

The Amherst Ramblers will be handing out 500 “Pay it Forward” cards at their March 3rd home game against the Edmundston Blizzard. The team encourages all fans to please take one and pass it on with a random act of kindness in memory of Becca Schofield and encourage all MHL clubs to join in on this initiative.

Becca Schofield was from Riverview, New Brunswick. She was diagnosed with brain cancer 3 years ago. When her diagnosis turned terminal a year ago she began writing her bucket list. On this list was a selfless idea to promote “a mass act of kindness”. This brave teenager’s wish quickly became global and people from around the world began posting their Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) on her Facebook page under the hashtag #Beccatoldmeto.

Becca passed away on February 17, 2018, which, ironically, is National Random Acts of Kindness Day in the US.

As per Ramblers’ Director Kim Campbell:

“Let’s keep Becca’s memory alive by continuing her awesome legacy. Post your RAKs on the Ramblers’ Facebook page for our community to see and be motivated and also on Becca’s Facebook page for her family. End your posts with #Beccatoldmeto.”
