The Grand Falls Rapids have announced that defenseman Isaac Allard has committed to the Université de Sherbrooke Vert et Or for next season.
Allard, from Dieppe, N.B., joined the West Kent Steamers for the 2023-24 season and had one goal and five assists in 41 games. In 2024-25, Allard tallied five goals and thirteen assists with the Steamers in 31 games before being dealt at the trade deadline to Grand Falls. He finished the season with three goals and four assists in fourteen games with the Rapids. Allard was named to the Eastlink North Team of the Week three times: twice with West Kent and once with Grand Falls.
In 2025-26, Allard entered the final week of the regular season seventh in team scoring with 28 points, which leads all Rapids defensemen. He has ten goals, fourth-most among all MHL blueliners, to go with eighteen assists. He’s been named to the Eastlink North Team of the Week three times.
