Statement from The MHL Regarding the Humboldt Broncos

Yesterday, an unspeakable tragedy occured within the hockey world when the team bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos was involved in a serious accident. It has been reported by the RCMP that of the 28 people that were on the bus, 14 people have been killed and 14 more injured, including three in critical condition.

The Humboldt Broncos are members of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) who, like the MHL, compete as members of the Canadian Junior Hockey League at the Jr.A level.

The MHL offers its deepest condolences to the family and friends of those affected by this tragic accident. As proud members of the CJHL, our league stands with our hockey family in the SJHL and with the Broncos organization during this exceptionally difficult time.
