Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! We’re closing in on the Christmas Break with a half dozen games on tap this weekend, and all of them in the Eastlink North Division.

The Campbellton Tigers (15-9-1-2) will play three games in three days, starting off Thursday with a home tilt against Grand Falls (6-15-3-1). The Rapids are looking to get back into the win column following losses to St. Stephen (10-15-2-0) and Yarmouth (24-5-0-1) to push their winless streak to eight games despite a number of one- or two-goal defeats during that stretch. The Tigers beat Miramichi (11-15-2-0) last Sunday to snap a mini-two-game slide.

Friday’s action features three games. The Tigers begin a home and home with the Aces in Campbellton, with the season series tied at a game apiece thus far. Campbellton are also holding a Virtual Sellout that night, with details here:

The division-leading Summerside Western Capitals (19-4-0-0) travel to Grand Falls on Saturday, looking to move to 4-0-0-0 against the Rapids. Summerside enter the weekend ranked 5th in the nation by the CJHL, one spot ahead of the Mariners, who dropped from 4th to 6th. The Edmundston Blizzard (14-9-3-0) hit the ice at Centre Jean Daigle to face Miramichi.  The Timberwolves picked up a 4-2 win in their last meeting, though they lost the first two matchups.

We have two games on tap for Saturday. The back half of the home and home between the Tigers and Aces in St. Stephen is the MHL Game of the Week and free to watch on HockeyTV. This will be their third game against each other in December, and the Aces look to enter break with a 4-3-0-0 record for the month. The schedule wraps up in Edmundston with a big matchup as the Western Capitals roll into town for a game against the Blizzard. Their last game was a 5-4 win by Edmundston on October 20th, where the Blizzard scored four times in the third period to pick up the win.

All games are available to watch on HockeyTV.
