FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Truro, N.S. (April 17, 2026) – The Metalfab MHL Cup Final between the Eastlink South Division champion Truro Bearcats and the defending league champion Edmundston Blizzard begins in Truro, N.S. on Monday, April 20th at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre. The series will follow the 2-2-1-1-1 format for games.
The Bearcats, who tied for the most points in the league during the regular season and have home ice advantage in the final, beat the Pictou County Weeks Crushers in five games in the first round of the playoffs before winning the Eastlink South title by beating the Summerside Western Capitals in seven games. The Blizzard swept the West Kent Steamers in round one and beat the Chaleur Lightning in six games to capture the Eastlink North title for the second year in a row.
Eastlink Community TV will broadcast the first two games of the series from Truro, with further coverage to be announced when available. Follow the action for Games 1 and 2 on Eastlink channels 10 and 610, as well as the full series on FloHockey.

La finale Blizzard-Bearcats commence lundi à Truro

Truro, N.-É. (17 avril 2026) – La finale de la coupe LHM Metalfab, qui opposera les Bearcats de Truro, champions de la section Eastlink Sud, au Blizzard d’Edmundston, champion en titre des dernières séries éliminatoires, débutera à Truro, en Nouvelle-Écosse, le lundi 20 avril au Rath Eastlink Community Centre. La série se déroulera selon le format 2-2-1-1-1.
Les Bearcats, qui ont terminé à égalité en tête du classement de la ligue à l’issue de la saison et qui bénéficient de la patinoire en finale, ont battu les Weeks Crushers de Pictou County en cinq matchs au premier tour des séries éliminatoires avant de remporter le titre de la section Sud en battant les Western Capitals de Summerside en sept matchs. Le Blizzard a balayé les Steamers de West-Kent au premier tour et a battu le Lightning de Chaleur en six parties pour remporter le titre de la section Eastlink Nord pour la deuxième année consécutive.
Eastlink Community TV diffusera les deux premiers matchs de la série depuis Truro; les autres retransmissions seront annoncées dès qu’elles seront disponibles. Suivez l’action des matchs 1 et 2 sur les chaines Eastlink 10 et 610, ainsi que l’intégralité de la série sur FloHockey.
