Wieringa commits to Salve Regina University

The South Shore Lumberjacks have announced that defenseman Oliver Wieringa has committed to Salve Regina University, an NCAA Division III school.

The 21-year-old from Woodstock, Ontario had two goals and six assists in 27 games for the Lumberjacks after joining the club for the 2020-21 season. He had one assist in three games during the Canadian Tire Cup Playoff Round Robin.

Prior to his time in the MHL, Wieringa had spent two seasons with the Ogden Mustangs, then of the WSHL.
