Wildcats’ Kearney commits to Royal Military College Paladins

The Valley Wildcats have announced that forward Ethan Kearney has committed to the Royal Military College Paladins for 2023-24.

The 21-year-old from Petawawa, Ontario was selected in the 7th Round, 107th overall, by the Wildcats in the 2019 MHL Entry Draft. Kearney spent his entire Junior A career with the club, collecting 33 goals and 40 assists in 146 regular season games to go with eleven goals and six assists in 22 playoff games.

Kearney had nine goals and seven assists in 48 games during his rookie season of 2019-20. The following year, he had two goals and three assists in 32 games, along with two goals in four games during the Canadian Tire Cup Playoff Round Robin. In 2021-22, Kearney posted five goals and two assists in 22 games, but had a team-leading seven goals to go with three assists in twelve playoff games.

This last season, Kearney finished fourth in team scoring with seventeen goals and 28 assists in 44 games. He had two goals and three assists in six playoff games. Kearney was also named to the Eastlink South’s Team of the Week on one occasion.
