Amherst Ramblers honour players at annual banquet

The Amherst Ramblers hosted their 2019 awards ceremony on March 11th. Matt Williams was named the team’s MVP, while Will Lafford picked up four awards on the evening.

  • Vern Hurley Memorial Trophy (MVP) – Matt Williams
  • Ambassador Volunteerism Award (Community service) – Will Lafford
  • Jeff and Wayne Myatt Memorial Trophy – Will Lafford
  • Academic Proficiency, Leadership Potential and Hockey Ability Award – Will Lafford
  • Henry Treadwell Memorial Fan’s Choice Award – Will Lafford
  • Dickie Meats Billet of the Year Award –Jacob Myra
  • Ron MacLeod Memorial True Grit Award –Jacob Myra
  • Captain’s Choice Award – Hunter McIntyre
  • Shermie White Memorial Trophy (Playing ability and clean play) – Hunter McIntyre
  • Lorne Briggs Memorial Top Defenceman Trophy – Dawson Grenier
  • Carmen Porter Memorial (Rookie of the Year) – Stephen Fox
  • Maurice Bent Memorial Most Improved Player Award – Cole Waugh
  • Walter Maltby Memorial Trophy (Top scorer) – Caleb Rich
