CJHL 3 Stars of the Month – Fuelled by Gatorade
Anderson (SJHL); Cloutier (LHJAAAQ); Corbett (SIJHL) collect December honours

TORONTO – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Wednesday that forwards Carter Anderson of the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL); the Panthères de St-Jérôme (LHJAAAQ) Mathis Cloutier and Aiden Corbett of the Red Lake Miners (SIJHL) of have been named its CJHL 3 Stars of the Month for December – Fuelled by Gatorade.

1ST STAR: CARTER ANDERSON, (F) FLIN FLON BOMBERS (SJHL) – Wrapping up 2023 in solid form, Anderson etched his name on the game sheet in all six appearances he made, by tallying 10 times and dishing out four assists for 14 points, during an unbeaten month for the Bombers.

Three of the goals for the 19-year-old from Thompson, Man., were game-winners and he also set-up another deciding marker.

Currently sitting second in the SJHL in both tallies (27) and point-per-game average (1.71), Anderson’s efforts have helped Flin Flon hold down top spot in the league standings and be ranked the No. 1 club in the 122-team CJHL.

2ND STAR: MATHIS CLOUTIER, (F) PANTHÈRES de SAINT-JÉROME (LHJAAAQ) – The crafty play-maker has certainly impressed in his time with St-Jérôme.

In eight games in December, Cloutier scored five times and assisted on 17 others for a 22-point run. Six of his contests were multi-point affairs for the 20-year-old from Mirabel, Que.

The leading point-getter in the CJHL, so far this season, Cloutier has not been held pointless throughout his initial 30 match-ups, notching 28 markers and collecting 53 helpers.

3RD STAR: AIDEN CORBETT, (F) RED LAKE MINERS (SIJHL) – Guiding Red Lake to a perfect 7-0-0-0 December, the 19-year-old forward, who hails from Winnipeg, Man., was instrumental in the Miners’ winning run.

Corbett banged in 10 goals during the time frame, featuring four multi-marker performances, while adding seven assists as well.

Currently leading Red Lake in offensive production, the second-year skater has 40 points, in 29 appearances, for the Miners, including 20 tallies, to sit fifth in SIJHL scoring.
