Decision Regarding Use of an Ineligible Player

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Truro, Nova Scotia (October 17, 2018) – The Maritime Hockey League (MHL) has found the Amherst Ramblers in violation of league policy for use of an ineligible player in a game on October 13 against the Valley Wildcats.

As a result, the Amherst Ramblers’ two (2) points from their 4-3 victory will be removed, with one (1) win changed to one (1) loss in the standings. The Valley Wildcats will have two (2) points added to their point standings, with one (1) loss changed to one (1) win. All player statistics from this game will remain.

An appeal of this decision may be made to the MHL through their policies and procedures.

No further comment will be issued at this time.
