The Summerside Western Capitals have announced that forward Owen Gilhula has committed to York University for the 2021-22 season.
The 20-year-old from Stratford, Ontario leads the Western Capitals in scoring with eleven goals and five assists in fifteen games at the end of February. His goal total is tied for the fifth-most in the league, and he leads Summerside with three powerplay goals.
Before arriving in Summerside, Gilhula spent four seasons with the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves, tallying 27 goals and 43 assists in 171 games.
The MHL congratulates Gilhula on his Junior A career and post-secondary commitment.
