Mariners’ Melancon commits to Brock University

The Yarmouth Mariners have announced that forward Max-Antoine Melancon has committed to Brock University for the 2022-23 season.

The 21-year-old from Drummondville, Quebec began the 2021-22 season with the Summerside Western Capitals, compiling nine goals and 18 assists in 24 games. Melancon was traded in early January to the Pictou County Weeks Crushers and then dealt to the Mariners before the trade deadline.

Once in Yarmouth, Melancon had six goals and six assists in ten games. His fifteen goals and 24 assists placed him just outside the top 20 scorers in the Maritime Junior Hockey League for this season.

The MHL congratulates Melancon on his post-secondary commitment.
