Rockland Nationals (CCHL) stay No. 1 in CJHL Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade
TORONTO – Winners of 25 consecutive contests, the sizzling Rockland Nationals (CCHL) stay No. 1 for an eighth straight week in the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade, announced Monday.
Rolling right along, Rockland boasts the best record in the entire CJHL and comfortably hold down top spot in the 12-team Central Canada Hockey League at 40-2-0-0.
Even with having a lengthy winning streak of their own come to an end over the weekend, the Niverville Nighthawks (MJHL) maintain their hold on No. 2 in the national listings.
Niverville continues to sit in first place in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League at 39-4-1-0 and have a winning percentage of .898.
At No. 3 is Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ).
They lead the pack in the Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League with a 34-5-0-1 mark.
Tabbed at No. 4 in the rankings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, are the Toronto Patriots (OJHL).
Holding a five-point buffer in the run to a regular season crown in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Patriots have gone 40-7-0-1 to date.
Meanwhile, another OJHL club, the Trenton Golden Hawks sit at No. 5 this week.
Having come away victorious in each of their past eight outings, the Golden Hawks are nicely perched in the upper echelon of the OJHL table at 37-8-0-2 overall.
