CJHL announces its Gongshow Gear 3 Stars for December
Justin Ball, (Melfort-SJHL); Nathan Moore (Portage-MJHL); Dominik Tmej (Summerside-MHL) earn monthly nods

CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced today that forward Justin Ball of the Melfort Mustangs (SJHL) as well as goaltenders Nathan Moore of the Portage Terriers (MJHL) and Domink Tmej of the Summerside Western Capitals (MHL) have been named its Gongshow Gear 3 Stars of the Month for December.

1ST STAR: JUSTIN BALL, (F) MELFORT MUSTANGS (SJHL) – December was just part of the sizzling campaign the 20-year-old from Saskatoon, Sask., has amassed to date during the 2018-19 campaign. … There he notched a dozen goals and dished out six assists in just seven games for Melfort, which was part of an impressive 33-game point streak he recorded. … In all, Ball tallied in six of the seven outings he competed in last month and registered just as many multi-point contests. … The Mustangs forward currently leads all SJHL skaters in offensive production with 71 points, including a league-best 42 tallies.

2ND STAR: NATHAN MOORE, (G) PORTAGE TERRIERS (MJHL) – The Terriers rookie goaltender was unbeatable in December posting a perfect 7-0 record along with a 1.62 goals-against average, a .924 save percentage and one shutout. … The 18-year-old, who hails from Regina, Sask., efforts also earned him MJHL Goaltender of the Month laurels. … Moore enters play this weekend tops in his league in victories with 20 and tied for sixth in overall average at 2.61.

3RD STAR: DOMINIK TMEJ, (G) SUMMERSIDE WESTERN CAPITALS (MHL) – A solid final month of 2018 saw the Western Capitals goalkeeper perform splendidly winning all five starts he made while allowing just three goals against. … Tmej, a 19-year-old from Bradenton, Fla., sported a stingy 0.60 goals-against average along with a stellar .981 save mark while recording back-to-back shutouts. … Picking up victories in his past 11 appearances and having gone 15-1 in his previous 16 outings, the Summerside stopper presently paces all MHL netminders in average (1.97); save % (.940) and shutouts (4). … He also shares his league lead in wins with 16.
