Cliff Affleck from Hockey P.E.I. presented T.J. Shea with his Male Player of the Year Award at the home opener for the Summerside Western Capitals on Saturday, September 29th. Shea ran away with the Maritime Hockey League scoring title on 2017-18 with 43 goals and 62 assists, which also led both categories. He added another eight goals and twelve assists in the playoffs for Summerside.
He was announced as the award recipient during Hockey P.E.I.’s annual general meeting in the spring. Shea’s teammates Bennett and Brodie MacArthur are also past recipients of Male Player of the Year, as well as former Summerside standout Thomas Stavert.
