Truro, N.S. (March 24, 2022) – The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) has named Justin David of the Campbellton Tigers as the Pro Design Cresting Rookie of the Month for March. The 17-year-old from Pigeon Hill, N.B. topped all rookies for the month with fifteen points in nine games, which placed him tied for seventh in league scoring in March. David’s ten goals were also tied for the most among all MHL skaters.
David started the month with a powerplay goal and two assists against Summerside on March 3rd and the game-winning goal on March 4th against Edmundston. After being held off the scoresheet on the 5th versus Summerside and collecting an assist on the 8th against Fredericton, David had his best game of the season with four goals and one assist on the 12th against Miramichi. He scored once in a shootout win over Edmundston on the 13th and had two goals, including the game-winner, against the Red Wings on the 16th. The following night, David had one goal and one assist in a home win over South Shore.
Honourable Mention – Braeden MacPhee (Miramichi Timberwolves) – The 17-year-old from Moncton, N.B. had a solid month for Miramichi with five goals and six assists in eleven games. Like Campbellton’s Justin David, MacPhee also had two game-winners in March, both coming against South Shore on the 4th and 18th, respectively. He had three games of one goal and one assist. MacPhee’s best game offensively was one goal and two assists on the 17th against Fredericton.

David, des Tigres, recrue Pro Design Cresting pour mars
Truro, N.-É. (24 mars 2022) – La Ligue de hockey junior des Maritimes (LHM) a nommé Justin David des Tigres de Campbellton recrue Pro Design Cresting du mois de mars. Le joueur de 17 ans de Pigeon Hill, N.-B. a dominé toutes les recrues du mois avec 15 points en 9 matchs, ce qui l’a placé à égalité au septième rang des pointeurs de la ligue en mars. Les 10 buts de David étaient également à égalité parmi tous les joueurs de la LHM.
David a commencé le mois avec un but en avantage numérique et deux passes contre Summerside le 3 mars et le but gagnant le 4 mars contre Edmundston. Après avoir été écarté de la feuille de pointage le 5 mars contre Summerside et avoir récolté une aide le 8 mars contre Fredericton, David a connu son meilleur match de la saison avec quatre buts et une passe le 12 mars contre Miramichi. Il a marqué un but lors d’une victoire en fusillade contre Edmundston le 13 mars et a inscrit deux buts, dont le filet victorieux, contre les Red Wings le 16 mars. Le soir suivant, David a récolté un but et une passe dans une victoire à domicile contre South Shore.
