Fink (AJHL); Lenart (OJHL); Dube-Plouffe (MHL) collect monthly laurels

TORONTO, Ont. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Friday that forwards Aiden Fink, Brooks Bandits (AJHL); Thomas Lenart, Burlington Cougars (OJHL) and  Daryk Dube-Plouffe, Miramichi Timberwolves (MHL) have been named its 3 Stars of the Month for October.

1ST STAR: AIDEN FINK, (F) BROOKS BANDITS (AJHL) – In 11 games during the time frame, the 17-year-old Calgary, Alta., product piled up 28 points for the defending Centennial Cup champion Bandits on 14 goals and as many assists.

Eight of Fink’s outings were multi-point performances for the Alberta Junior Hockey League front-runners, including registering five against the Olds Grizzlys back on Oct. 19.

He also notched a pair of hat tricks and recorded two game-winning markers aiding in Brooks posting a monthly mark of 10-0-1-0.

The University of Wisconsin (Big 10) NCAA Division I commit currently leads all AJHL skaters in goals, assists and points with 20, 28 and 48 respectively. His 12 power play tallies also pace all players.

2ND STAR: THOMAS LENART, (F) BURLINGTON EAGLES (OJHL) – Appearing in 10 contests in October, the 20-year-old from Hamilton, Ont., etched his name on the game sheet in each of them, collecting 26 points in total while scoring 10 times and helping set-up 16 others.

Lenart found the back of the net on eight occasions during the time period and had as many multi-point efforts.

Featured in his contributions were two nights where he notched four points apiece as well as a four-pack with three, while helping Burlington post a record of 9-0-1-0 in Ontario Junior Hockey League action.

The veteran OJHLer enters play this weekend, one point shy of 100 in his career, on 37 markers and 62 helpers.

3RD STAR: DARYK DUBE-PLOUFFE, (F) MIRAMICHI TIMBERWOLVES (MHL) – Averaging over two points-per-game in October, the 20-year-old, who hails from Trois-Rivières, Que., registered 22 in just nine games for the Timberwolves.

Dube-Plouffe went on to score 11 times and dish out eleven assists during the period, which featured him striking at least once in seven consecutive contests.

Eight of his games saw him supply multi-point performances and he also contributed on 55% of the goals Miramichi scored in the month.

Presently pacing all MHL players in offensive production, Dube-Plouffe is tops in the Maritimes Hockey League in goals (16), assists (21) and overall points (37).
