Markam Royals (OJHL) slotted No. 1 in initial CJHL Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade for 2026-27
TORONTO – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Monday that the Markham Royals (OJHL) have been slotted in at No. 1 in the initial Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade for the 2026-27 season.
A terrific start to their Ontario Junior Hockey League campaign sees the Royals having won 10 consecutive contests while sporting a solid plus-24 goal differential.
Meanwhile, Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) come in at No. 2 in the 116-team CJHL.
Longueuil has been crisp to commence competition in the Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League, boasting an unbeaten 7-0-0-0 mark. The are also tops there in both goals-scored (41) and fewest allowed (7).
Tabbed at No. 3 in the opening listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, are the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL).
The defending Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League champions are 2-0-0-0 early and just celebrated the beginning of their 100th anniversary season with a banner-raising ceremony prior to their home opener this past Friday.
Next come the Truro Bearcats (MHL) in at No. 4.
Truro have also yet to taste defeat, where the’ve come away victorious in each of their first five Maritime Hockey League outings to sit atop the 12-team MHL table.
Wrapping up September at No. 5 nationally sit the Canmore Eagles (AJHL).
The reigning Alberta Junior Hockey League title holders are winners of three straight on the bounce as they have begun their quest of a repeat on a solid front.
