The Yarmouth Mariners are off to the Metalfab MHL Cup Final after a 5-2 win in Truro on Saturday night to complete a sweep of the Bearcats and capture the Eastlink South Division title. Yarmouth has played the minimum number of games to reach the league championship, having previously swept the Pictou County Weeks Crushers. The last team to accomplish this were the 2016-17 Miramichi Timberwolves. The Mariners won the division title for the first time since 2018-19, where they went on to win the league title.

Yarmouth now awaits the winner of the Eastlink North Division Final between the Edmundston Blizzard and the defending league champion Summerside Western Capitals. Yarmouth finished atop the overall league standings in the regular season and will have home ice advantage in the Metalfab MHL Cup Final.
