2025-26 CJHL MVP awarded to Rockland Nationals (CCHL) Gabreil Le Houillier

TORONTO – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Thursday that Rockland Nationals (CCHL) forward Gabriel Le Houillier has been named its Most Valuable Player Award recipient for the 2025-26 season.

Le Houillier garnered the accolades over fellow MVP finalists Niklas Gudmundson, (F) Winkler Flyers (MJHL); Mathieu Comeau, (F) Hearst Lumberjacks (NOJHL): Taeo Artichuk, (F) Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL) and Mathis Lacroix-Goulet, (G) Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ), following a voting process completed by each of the CJHL’s nine-member leagues.

Hailing from Lorraine, Que., the 20-year-old stalwart produced a dominant offensive campaign in the Central Canada Hockey League, finishing the season with an astounding 59 goals and 61 assists for 120 points in just 52 games.

Le Houillier finished 17 points ahead of the next closest CCHL scorer and a dozen clear of any player across the entire CJHL.

He was held off the game sheet only twice all season, and each time responded emphatically with four and three-point performances, before concluding the regular season on a 23-game point streak.

Among his contributions saw him lead, or end up tied, for top spot in multiple CCHL categories, including power-play tallies (13), game-winning goals (15), empty-net markers (4), and insurance efforts (8), all while averaging over 19 minutes of ice time per-game. His 15 first-star selections were twice as many as any other player in his league.

Le Houillier went on to be named the CJHL’s Top Forward this season.

He also captured major CCHL awards, including MVP, Top Scorer, and the Arthur K. Neilsen Scholarship/Ability Award.

Adding to his accomplishments was being named a league star of the week eight times and earning Performer of the Month honours on three occasions.

Le Houillier was also named the CJHL’s First Star of the Month once and earned honorable mention laurels twice.
