AJHL-power top 131-team CJHL as impressive winning streak continues
CALGARY, Alta. – As the country heads to the polls today to decide who will serve as Canada’s Prime Minister for the next four years, one thing is certain and that is the Brooks Bandits (AJHL) continue to roll.
Winners of 14 straight regular season contests and 47 overall, dating back to last year, Brooks once again tops the table in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League Top 20 rankings announced Monday.
Fellow AJHL side, the Sherwood Park Crusaders have reeled off six-straight triumphs and sit 14-1 in the Alberta standings as they make the move to No. 2 nationally.
In Saskatchewan, the Battlefords North Stars, are 15-1 and they enter this week at No. 3 in the 131-team CJHL, having won eight in a row.
Boasting a 12-game winning streak, the soaring Powassan Voodoos (NOJHL) click up a notch to No. 4 while the Thunder Bay North Stars (SIJHL) are slotted in the No. 5 spot.
