The Pictou County Weeks Crushers have announced that 20-year-old defenseman Michael Fredette has committed to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons (NCAA Division 3) for the 2019-20 season.

The victoria, BC native spent two seasons with the MHL club. Fradette posted one goal and five assists in 34 games with the Crushers in 2017-18 after being acquired from the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League on November 1, 2017. In 2018-19, Fradette scored three goals to go along with 16 assists. That was the second-most point total for defensemen on Pictou County.

The Maritime Junior Hockey League congratulates Michael Fradette on his recent commitment and wish him well in the future.
