FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Truro, N.S. (March 16, 2024) – Game 2 of the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs between the Miramichi Timberwolves and West Kent Steamers at the Miramichi Civic Centre on Sunday, March 17th has been cancelled. The Eastlink North Division Semi-Final series schedule will be changed. Game 1 will resume on an undetermined day next week from where it was suspended last night, with West Kent leading 1-0 with 15:25 remaining in the 1st period.
The Maritime Junior Hockey League’s (MHL) thoughts are with Justin David, his family and friends, teammates, and all those affected by this incident, and wish him a speedy recovery.
