The Pictou County Weeks Crushers have announced that forward Cameron Hough has committed to Ontario Tech University for the 2021-22 season.
The 20-year-old from Uxbridge, Ontario spent time with the OJHL’s Toronto Jr. Canadiens, the OHL’s Sarnia Sting and Kingston Frontenacs, and the GOJHL’s Sarnia Legionnaires between 2016-17 and 2018-19. For the 2019-20 season, Hough laced up his skates for the CCHL’s Pembroke Lumber Kings where he had 24 goals and 21 assists in 56 games.
Hough was acquired from the Lumber Kings by the Crushers in January. In 20 games, he had seventeen goals to go with seven assists, including three game-winning goals. Hough finished third in team scoring, despite playing just over half of Pictou County’s games. During the Canadian Tire Cup Eastlink South Playoff Round-Robin, Hough had five goals and four assists in five games. His nine points were behind a trio of players who led the MHL with eleven, and his five goals were second-most behind only teammate Andrew Burden.
The MHL congratulates Hough on his post-secondary commitment.
