The Yarmouth Mariners have announced that defenseman Tyler Lee has committed to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons, a NCAA Division III school.
The 20-year-old from Claremont, California joined the Mariners for the 2022-23 season, with five goals and 25 assists in 50 games. He was tied with Summerside’s William Irvine for the fifth-most powerplay assists among defensemen with sixteen. Lee also had four assists in ten games during the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs. He was named the league’s Top Defenseman in January 2023 and made the Eastlink South Team of the Week on three occasions.
During the 2023-24 season, Lee had four goals and eleven assists in 24 games for Yarmouth. He was named to the Eastlink South Team of the Week three times.
