Notes

    • This is another first-ever matchup in the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs. West Kent, formerly the South Shore Lumberjacks, last made the playoffs in 2018-19 where they defeated Amherst in the first round before losing to Yarmouth in the Eastlink South Division Final. Miramichi lost in six games to Edmundston in the first round last season.
    • Miramichi and West Kent were the 4th and 5th-most penalized teams, respectively, in the MHL this season. Head-to-head, West Kent was 10 for 31 (32.2%) on the powerplay while the Timberwolves’ powerplay went 8 for 41 (19.5%).
    • The Timberwolves had the second-most shorthanded goals this season with eleven, trailing Pictou County and Summerside who each had twelve.
    • Ludovic Dufort and David Doucet were two of only nine players across the league to average over 1.5 points per game. Dufort finished third in league scoring with 82 points in 52 games, including 46 goals which broke Andre Gill’s team record of 43 from 2004-05. Doucet had thirteen goals and nineteen assists in 20 games, joining the team after the trade deadline.
    • Alexis Daniel led the way for the Steamers, finishing 9th in league scoring with 38 goals and 32 assists in 50 games.
    • Olivier Beaudoin was second in scoring for defensemen with 12 goals and 37 assists in 46 games. Not far behind was rookie Aiden Diamond, who had ten goals and 28 assists in 51 games. West Kent defensemen generated 28 goals and 140 points this season, compared to 20 goals and 106 assists from Miramichi blueliners.
    • Looking at scoring per period, Miramichi were +18 in the 1st Period, -9 in the 2nd, and +22 in the 3rd Period. West Kent was +7, +22, and +5, respectively.
