Truro, N.S. (March 29, 2022) – The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is pleased to announce Yarmouth Mariners Head Coach and General Manager Laurie Barron as the 2021-22 Coach of the Year.
This is the third time Barron has won the award, which is voted on by his peers. He previously won the award in 2011-12 and 2017-18.
Barron’s Mariners captured the Eastlink South Division regular season title with a 25-8-4-1 record and the second-best point percentage in the league at .724. Yarmouth had the second-best goal differential at 46 with the second-fewest allowed and third-most goals scored.
The team had the fourth-best penalty-killing percentage at 83.0% and the third-best powerplay percentage at 24.6%.

Laurie Barron nommé entraineur de l’année 2021-2022 par la LHM
Truro, N.-É. (29 mars 2022) – La Ligue de hockey junior des Maritimes (LHM) est heureuse d’annoncer que l’entraineur-chef et directeur général des Mariners de Yarmouth, Laurie Barron, est l’entraineur de l’année 2021-2022.
C’est la troisième fois que Barron remporte le prix voté par ses pairs après avoir été sélectionné en 2011-2012 et 2017-2018.
Les Mariners ont remporté le titre de la section Eastlink sud avec une fiche de 25-8-4-1 et le deuxième meilleur pourcentage de points de la ligue à ,724. Yarmouth avait le deuxième meilleur différentiel de buts (46), a terminé la saison au deuxième rang pour le nombre de buts alloués et au troisième échelon pour le plus grand nombre de buts marqués.
L’équipe avait le quatrième meilleur pourcentage d’efficacité en infériorité numérique à 83,0 % et le troisième meilleur pourcentage en supériorité numérique à 24,6 %.
