CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League announced Sunday that goaltender Jett Alexander (North York Rangers, OJHL) along with forwards Dylan Holloway (Okotoks Oilers, AJHL) and Bryce Young (Red Lake Miners, SIJHL) have been named its Gongshow Gear 3 Stars of the Month for October.
1ST STAR: JETT ALEXANDER, (G) NORTH YORK RANGERS (OJHL) – In 13 Ontario Junior Hockey League appearances during the time frame the 19-year-old Bloomfield, Ont., product was an impressive 12-0-1 for North York while registering a stellar 1.07 goals-against average along with an equally solid .966 save percentage. … His efforts saw him post four consecutive shutouts in October where he didn’t allow a goal for a span on 290 minutes and 52 seconds. … Alexander also blanked opponents on two other occasions last month. … The six-foot-five-inch, 215-pound goalkeeper entered action today leading all OJHL netminders in average (1.59); save percentage (.944); wins (18) and shutouts (7).

2ND STAR: DYLAN HOLLOWAY, (F) OKOTOKS OILERS (AJHL) – Suiting up in 11 AJHL contests last month, Holloway collected 19 points in all as he tallied nine times and assisted on 10 others where his efforts earned him AJHL Player of the Month laurels. … Hailing from Bragg Creek, Alta., the 17-year-old forward had five multi-point outings in October and was only held off the score sheet twice. … The University of Wisconsin NCAA Division I commit presently tops all AJHL skaters in offensive production with 40 points on 16 goals and a league-best 24 assists.

3RD STAR: BRYCE YOUNG, (F) RED LAKE MINERS (SIJHL) – In 10 October outings, the 18-year-old The Pas, Man., product had points in all but one of them as he amassed 27 in total, including a league-best 16 goals. … Two of his tallies were game-winners and he also produced nine multi-point games, including seven with three or more. Young also topped all SIJHL skaters in man advantage markers with six and shorthanded goals with two. … The SIJHL’s player of the month for October is currently second in league scoring with 33 points in 16 outings while pacing all players with 20 goals.
