The Amherst Ramblers are proud to announce that forward Cooper Cormier has committed to continue his academic and hockey career with the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus men’s ice hockey program beginning next season.

A native of Moncton, New Brunswick, Cormier began his junior career with the Amherst Ramblers during the 2023–24 season and quickly made an impact offensively. As a rookie, he recorded 27 points in 29 games, finishing among the team’s top scorers and establishing himself as one of the league’s promising young forwards. His strong play in Amherst earned him an opportunity at the next level when he signed with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League, where he was part of a championship team that captured the Gilles-Courteau Trophy.

Cormier later returned to the Ramblers organization, bringing valuable experience and leadership back to the lineup. Known for his speed, offensive instincts, and strong work ethic, he has continued to be a key contributor for Amherst while further developing his game in preparation for the university level. His commitment to Université de Moncton marks the next step in both his hockey career and academic journey.

Cormier will join the Moncton Aigles Bleus, one of Atlantic Canada’s most historic university hockey programs. The Aigles Bleus compete in the Atlantic University Sport conference of U Sports and play their home games at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena in Moncton. The program has a proud tradition that dates back to 1964 and includes four U SPORTS national championships (1981, 1982, 1990, and 1995) along with multiple conference titles.

The Amherst Ramblers organization congratulates Cooper on this accomplishment and wishes him the very best as he continues his hockey career and education with the Université de Moncton.
