Niverville Nighthawks (MJHL) new No. 1 in CJHL Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade

TORONTO – There is a new No. 1 team leading the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade, this week as the Niverville Nighthawks (MJHL) have moved into top spot in the listings released Monday.

With only one defeat in regulation time so far this season, as well as a single overtime setback, the Nighthawks boast the best winning percentage in the entire CJHL at .940 and sit in first place overall in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League with a record of 23-1-1-0.

Coming in at No. 2 in the rankings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, are the Rockland Nationals (CCHL).

Winners of 10 consecutive contests, the Nationals continue to hold down top spot in the Central Canada Hockey League at 25-2-0-0.

Tagged at No. 3 this week is Collège Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ).

Suffering just their second loss of the season last week, Collège Français still leads the way in the Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League with a 25-2-0-0 mark.

At No. 4 are the Toronto Patriots (OJHL).

On a six-game heater and having gone 15-1 in their past 16, with their only blemish of late being a 2-1 setback to the No. 6 CJHL-ranked Stouffville Spirit, the Patriots sit first in the Ontario Junior Hockey League at 27-6-0-0.

Another surging LHJAAAQ side, the Panthères de St-Jérôme are at No. 5 this week.

St-Jérôme has come away victorious in each of their past nine contests and boast a record of 23-4-0-0 heading into action this week.
