Flin Flon Bombers still No. 1 in CJHL rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade

TORONTO – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Monday that the surging Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL) continue to maintain their perch atop the latest Top 20 Rankings – Fuelled by Gatorade.

Flon Flon has collected 27 of a possible 28 points in their past 14 games and have established a comfortable cushion in the overall Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League standings, with a record of 26-1-2-0.

Meanwhile, rolling right along with 16 consecutive victories, the Brooks Bandits (AJHL) have been unbeatable for a month and a half.

Pacing the Alberta Junior Hockey League with an impressive 31-3-0-0 mark, the Bandits have not suffered a defeat, since a 7-4 setback versus the Blackfalds Bulldogs, back on October 31.

Continuing to lead the Ontario Junior Hockey League table are the No. 3 ranked Collingwood Blues.

Hitting all the right notes so far this season, the Blues sport a record of 28-3-0-1.

Playing .815 hockey and slotted No. 4 in the 122-team CJHL this week are the Steinbach Pistons (MJHL).

The front-runners in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, Steinbach enters play this week with a mark of 21-4-2-0 and lead the MJHL in goals-for with 114 and have given up the second-fewest against at 56.

Meanwhile, another OJHL side, in the Trenton Golden Hawks, wrap-up the Top 5 in listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service.

Trenton has gone 26-4-0-1 to date and only have one overtime defeat, to go with 14 wins, in their past 15 outings.
