Summerside leap to 3rd in the nation in CJHL Top 20

Latest CJHL Top 20 rankings sees Brooks Bandits (AJHL) still No. 1
Bandits have won 7 straight and sport a 31-1-1 overall record

CALGARY, Alta. – While the World Junior A Challenge is underway in Dawson Creek, B.C., and features some of the elite talent in the Canadian Junior Hockey League, games also continue across the 131-team CJHL.

Once again topping the latest CJHL Top 20 Rankings this week, which are determined through an independent scouting source, are the 31-1-1 Brooks Bandits (AJHL).

Moving to No. 2 nationally you have another AJHL side in the Sherwood Park Crusaders, who boast a 26-3 mark.

Earning the No. 3 slot in the CJHL this week are the surging Summerside Western Capitals (MHL), who are 15-0-0-1 in their past 16 outings and 23-3-0-1 overall.

No. 4 College Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) have gone 22-3-0-1 over in their league while the No. 5 Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL) are 28-3-3-1 and top the table in their 12-team league in eastern Ontario.

Moving up to No. 6, the Coquitlam Express (BCHL) have reeled off nine straight victories.

Meanwhile, the Okotoks Oilers (AJHL) 7th; Battlefords North Stars (SJHL) 8th; Toronto Patriots (OJHL) 9th and the Powassan Voodoos (NOJHL) 10th round out the Top 10.
