I never expected to score a hat trick, credit to my teammates they fed me some unreal passes and I was just able to fire it in the net.

“It’s been a rollercoaster of a season, simple as that. We’ve had lots of ups and downs, but at the end of the day we knew what was on the line and they (Thunder Bay) were trying to play spoiler. Our first period was outstanding, the second period our flow was off – penalties were happening – but we had to stick with it and we finally finished it off. The goal of the round-robin is to get to the playoffs. Obviously, you’d like to finish first and get the bye, but we didn’t. We’re happy that we’re continuing on with the tournament; we get another game and we’re three away.”

« Nous avions encerclé ce match sur notre calendrier et nous espérions pouvoir passer directement en demi-finale. C’était un bon match de notre part; notre niveau de compétitivité était élevé, et nous avons effectué le travail. Je n’avais jamais pensé réaliser un tour du chapeau. Je dois donner le crédit à mes partenaires de trio qui me font des passes sublimes, j’ai simplement trouvé le moyen de tirer au filet. »

« Notre saison a été rocambolesque. Nous avons eu beaucoup de hauts et de bas, mais en fin de compte, nous savions ce qui était à l’enjeu. Thunder Bay essayait de jouer les trouble-fêtes. Nous avons connu une superbe première période. En deuxième, notre rythme était moins bon, nous avons visité le banc des punitions souvent. Il nous fallait garder le cap et nous avons réussi à l’emporter. L’objectif en ronde préliminaire, c’est d’atteindre la ronde éliminatoire. Évidemment, nous aurions aimé finir en première place et obtenir un laissez-passer, mais ça n’a pas fonctionné. Nous sommes contents de poursuivre notre chemin dans le tournoi, nous jouerons un autre match, et nous sommes à trois victoires de notre but. »
